TRI-AD’s community and charity involvement group, TRI-AD Cares, led a toy drive to collect toys for children who are hospitalized over the holiday season at Rady Children’s Hospital, a TRI-AD client.  For this effort, TRI-AD teamed up with members of the Independent Pool and Spa Service Association (IPSSA), who seeded the donation with cash to kick off the toy shopping. TRI-AD’s Banking and Reconciliation Manager, Barbara Smith led the effort with other members of the TRI-AD Cares committee and many other TRI-AD Associates joining in with generous cash and toy donations, as well as hitting the stores to shop for toys for children of all ages.  TRI-AD and IPSSA’s original goal for the effort was $350. To our delight, we soon exceeded that goal. The final tally was $2,300 worth of toys! Accepting the toys at the Hospital was Ashtyn Nichols, In-Kind Gift Coordinator for the Rady Children’s Hospital Foundation. Ms. Nichols said that TRI-AD and IPSSA’s donation was the largest donation of shopped-for toys this holiday season. TRI-AD and IPSSA are pleased to help make the holidays a little brighter for families facing the challenge of a hospitalized child.
